My name is Rebecca Frager and I have been the high school librarian at Woodlawn High School for 18 years.  I began my life’s journey in the Midwest where I grew up in the city of St. Louis. My first career was a Radiologic Technologist where I worked at Barnes/Jewish hospital, a major teaching hospital complex in St. Louis, Mo. From there, it was westward bound to Boise, Idaho where I spent the next 15 years raising three children and, eventually, attending Boise State University after my children were grown.  I finally headed east, landing in Baltimore, Maryland where I began my second career as a librarian at Woodlawn High School.  Of all the regions I have lived, Maryland is my favorite.  I love the hometown feel of St. Louis and, of course, the Cardinals!  I love the wide openness and beauty of Idaho.  But most of all, I love the history and diversity of Maryland and consider it my home.

My hobbies are varied.  I enjoy baking bread and cooking of any kind.  I am always trying out new recipes.  I grew up in a musical family and, as a result, I play piano, a little guitar, and the harp.  I am now teaching myself to play the Ukulele.  Two years ago, I taught myself to crochet, and now, I have far too many dishcloths.  I have also made a couple of baby blankets and hats for the grandbabies.  I also love antiquing.  If I need something for my house, I prefer old stuff to new.  Finally, I spend much of my free time virtually teaching English to kids from all over the globe.  I have students from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Vietnam, India, China, Taiwan, and Korea.   This has been a great experience and I get to learn about so many different cultures!
