Bio: Greetings! My
name is Mr.J.Berry. I am a dedicated educator working in the SPARC Academy
(Social Studies Department) at Woodlawn High School. This is my 10th year of teaching at Woodlawn
High School in the Baltimore County Public School System. Throughout my years
at Woodlawn High School, it has been my passion to empower all students to
become positive role models (leaders in their school and community), culturally
aware, community service oriented, self-aware, and conquerors in their
education.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family,
mentoring youths, shopping, solving puzzles, playing competitive online games,
watching sporting events (basketball, football and soccer). I also enjoy
watching movies (action, mystery and crime), as well as traveling. Since, I
have children, the opportunities to build relationships are frequent.
I look forward to our welcoming experiences together,
through this journey of education and empowerment.

Hey
Warrior Family! My name is Mr. Chris Burkhardt and I am new to Woodlawn High
School for the 2020/21 school year. This will be my 23rd year
teaching – I taught for 20 years in Wicomico County - and I actually started
my career at Woodlawn Middle School way back in 1997. I’m excited to be back
in Baltimore County but anxious to see how we all adapt to the online
learning for the semester.
I’ve
got a wonderful family – my wife and three kids – who mean everything to me.
I love to get outside in nature and go hiking. I also love to travel and
explore wherever I can get to whether it’s a weekend or a vacation. Soccer
(Let’s go Arsenal!) is my favorite sport but I love just about all of them
(Orioles, Ravens, Celtics)
I
hope to get to meet all of you in person real soon but I’m looking forward to
a great beginning online!
