My
name is Mrs. Madrinan, and I am a Spanish teacher in the World Languages
department. I teach the upper levels of Spanish. I have been teaching at WHS
since last year and taught for two years in Baltimore City before that. I
feel very happy to with my work team made up of 7 language teachers, who have
given me their unconditional support. In addition to having the permanent
support of Ms. Reyes and Ms. Bennett who last year was my coach.
My
favorite hobbies are traveling to know different cultures, taking pictures,
learning about American history. I
read a lot about subjects such as the Civil War. I like classical jazz and
poetry. I like to cook Latin food and I would like to teach students this
subject.

Bio: My name is Ms.
Phillips, and I am a Spanish Teacher. This is my third year teaching at
Woodlawn. I graduated from Edgewood High School’s International Baccalaureate
Program in Harford County. I am also the PBIS Coordinator for WHS
I am not
a native Spanish speaker and learned the language in high school, college, and
studying abroad in Granada, Spain and Buenos Aires, Argentina. I danced from
age 3 to 21, doing ballet, tap, jazz, and modern and I can still do a split 😊. I was an alto in Loyola’s Chapel Choir and love to sing.
